A team you can trust

Our Services

Meet the team

Our small but perfectly formed team at Nielsen McAllister is one that you can always rely on to deliver results.

Together, we’re PR, media and marketing experts. We’re journalists, writers and creative thinkers. We work really hard for our clients, we take time to understand how our clients operate and what their objectives are – and we love what we do.

Bob Bushby

Managing Director

With over 30 years’ PR experience, Bob is a true industry expert. Having worked both in-house (for companies such as Grants of St James’s) and for agencies (including Kingsway PR, which became part of Saatchi and Saatchi), he has implemented many PR campaigns for clients ranging from Nestlé to Tarmac.

Since founding Nielsen McAllister in 1990, Bob has established an enviable list of contacts. He has gained particular respect in the packaging and associated media, and is very proud to have retained his first two clients to this day.

Outside the office Bob formerly enjoyed treading the boards in AmDram, but since putting away the greasepaint he has taken up squash and golf – albeit rather badly.

Simon Wildash

Business Development Director

Simon is a creative and commercially successful CIM-qualified marketer with over 25 years’ experience within the global packaging, security and communications markets. Simon has helped deliver award-winning MarComms in his previous role at Essentra, as well as positioning thought-leadership across traditional and digital media.

A clear, strategic thinker with a passion for long-term business development, Simon is focused on helping clients deliver business growth using his strategic planning and communications experience.

Beyond the world of Nielsen McAllister, Simon enjoys dragging his reluctant children around the Peak District on long walks as well as socialising with friends and family.

Phil Stubbs

Account Director

Phil is an accomplished writer and marketing professional with a passion for brand consistency. He abandoned a post-university career in the print industry to fulfil his dream of becoming a journalist. Phil then spent a number of years at the Derby Telegraph, latterly as political editor, where his long list of interviewees included the likes of Tony Blair and Ann Widdecombe.

In 2006, Phil moved into the world of PR, initially with Derby-based McConnells Group and then setting up his own PR business, managing clients in construction, finance, education, leisure, retail and fashion sectors.

When he’s not at work, Phil has been known to appear on stage at pubs, festivals and parties as lead singer of a rock covers band.

Kerrie Oxford

Senior Account Executive

Since graduating with a degree in Media and Communication Studies, Kerrie has spent almost a decade working in PR and marketing. In her previous position at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK, Kerrie worked in the busy PR department and was the editor and designer of the Toyota UK newsletter.

With a broad set of communications skills and a desire to ‘put something back’, Kerrie has spent a number of years supporting a local cancer charity – where she handled the charity’s PR and managed its social media accounts.

Kerrie is a self-confessed fitness fanatic. She enjoys spending time with her two sons, socialising with friends and walking her dog.

Connor Watson

Account Executive

A graduate of De Montfort University with a degree in Journalism, Connor has since channelled his impressive range of print and digital media skills into the world of public relations.

Connor’s natural writing style and research talents, honed during his journalism training, have enabled him to move seamlessly between different business sectors and communication platforms. He has previously worked in community radio, edited his student magazine, done freelance video production and has an excellent knowledge of social media.

Outside of work, Connor enjoys travelling and publishes a regular sports blog.

Lydia Skerritt

Account Executive

Lydia first fell in love with PR during a work placement following her graduation from the University of Leeds – and she hasn’t looked back.

Since joining NMPR she has reinforced the team’s expert writing capabilities and traditional PR specialisms, as well as introducing some of the industry’s latest thinking. With her know-how in video production and photography, and a keen interest in social media, Lydia brings a diverse range of skills to the company.

Outside of work, Lydia can be found in a beer garden with her friends, fussing over her dog or working out at the gym.

Emma Timson

Office Administrator

With a wide range of experience in administration and customer service roles, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge to the NMPR team.

Working with global transport companies and in the busy warehousing industry, Emma is well-versed at supporting multiple customers while operating in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Emma has a love of animals and has previously volunteered at her local animal shelter. In her spare time, Emma is a keen music lover and enjoys singing at her local church, as well as exploring the outdoors and finding the perfect spot to pitch a tent.
