Two Marketing Derby members have joined forces to help a UK logistics business strengthen its digital presence, showing how collaboration within the city’s business community can unlock specialist expertise.

PR and content agency Nielsen McAllister and digital agency Gravity Digital have worked together to support Prism eLogistics, a leading third-party logistics and contract packing provider. Their combined approach brings together public relations, social media content, website development and search optimisation.

The relationship grew from the two agencies getting to know each other through Marketing Derby’s networking activities, with conversations at events helping to build awareness of each other’s complementary strengths.

Nielsen McAllister had already been working with Prism on PR, content marketing and social media, raising awareness of the business and communicating its growth story. While this programme was generating engagement across social and trade media channels, Prism recognised that its website needed to better reflect the capability, personality and ambitions behind its operations.

With the need for a new website identified, Nielsen McAllister introduced Prism to fellow Marketing Derby member Gravity Digital, with the two agencies working closely together to pair compelling content with a strong digital user experience.

Launched on time and to budget, the new site, built by Gravity, incorporated SEO-focused content designed to help prospective customers better understand Prism eLogistics’ services while giving the brand a clearer digital expression.

Simon Wildash, MD at Nielsen McAllister, said: “Having worked with Prism eLogistics across PR, content marketing and social media, we knew the business had a strong story to tell. The opportunity was to create a website that worked harder in communicating that story to the audiences Prism wanted to reach.”

“When Prism asked if we knew of a website agency, it was a natural step for us to talk to Sharon and the team at Gravity Digital. We had become aware of their work through Marketing Derby and could see a clear opportunity to combine our PR, content and communications expertise with their digital capabilities.”

Following the successful website launch, the two agencies are now working together to further enhance the site’s visibility through a joined-up SEO and GEO strategy. The integrated programme has already delivered positive results, with Prism achieving a 70% increase in organic traffic and 60% increase in active users. With improved visibility for key industry search topics and AI search discoverability the business even received direct lead enquiries.

Sharon Stevens-Cash, MD at Gravity Digital, said: “One of Marketing Derby’s greatest strengths is the way it creates practical connections between businesses and our partnership with Nielsen McAllister shows how those connections can lead to meaningful client outcomes.

“Working together gave the website project a strong starting point. The messaging, content and brand personality already established for Prism provided an ideal foundation for the digital work that followed.

“By bringing together our respective areas of expertise, we have been able to create a digital platform that not only reflects Prism today but also supports its future growth ambitions in UK contract services and logistics.”

Simon Wildash concluded: “By working in partnership, we have delivered a stronger outcome for Prism and shown how Marketing Derby relationships can translate into real value for clients.
