The Background

The BCMPA – The Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics, is respected throughout the UK and internationally for providing a valued resource for brand owners, retailers, manufacturers and e-commerce companies looking for professional outsourcing partners.

Whilst already having an established industry voice, the BCMPA appointed Nielsen McAllister to raise its profile and increase awareness of its full range of services across the supply chain including fulfilment and logistics, to reflect the Association’s new branding.

Our extensive knowledge and strong media relations in the sectors the BCMPA wanted to target, made us a natural fit.

The Solution

We worked closely with the BCMPA to create a strategic annual plan that would ensure exceptional media coverage, grab attention online and raise the association’s profile in front of its target audiences.

By focusing on developing the BCMPA as an industry voice for outsourcing, we targeted leading publications in the packaging, beauty, chemical, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and logistics markets, securing a balance of editorial positions.

The non-promotional nature of the extended articles positioned the BCMPA and its members as experts, with comment on a wide range of topics in relevant sectors.

The feature articles were complimented with regular tactical press releases which focused on a range of stories, ensuring the BCMPA’s latest news and updates were continuously in the spotlight.

As part of the integrated PR plan, full exhibition and conference support was provided to optimise the BCMPA’s presence at major trade shows. This included social media support to build awareness of the BCMPA’s attendance and highlight members’ involvement in the shows.

During a 12-month period, we secured 8 feature articles across key trade titles and distributed 9 tactical releases, reaching a potential 1.4m readership. These included:

In return, the BCMPA witnessed a large increase in enquires and welcomed over 30 new members in both new and existing sectors. Traffic to the BCMPA website also saw a 65% increase from 2018.
