Delivering integrated social media and lead generation for WaveGrip

WaveGrip wanted to use social media to engage with their customers and specifically target craft brewers. We devised a campaign to issue broadcast social media and targeted activity via Twitter.

How Nielsen McAllister helped

The Background

WaveGrip is a provider of multi-packing solutions for cans and drinks. As part or our integrated communications support, they asked us to help them use social media to engage with their customers and specifically target craft brewers in the US and UK.

Nielsen McAllister devised a campaign to issue broadcast social media and targeted activity via Twitter, alongside the broadcast tweets and activity on other social media platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram.

The objectives were to engage with the target audience and:

  • Build brand awareness of WaveGrip and its products
  • Generate leads for the WaveGrip team to follow up

The Solution

We have taken a light hearted, conversational and on most occasions non-promotional tone that complements WaveGrip’s brand.

We comment on the beers, can designs, products we like and occasionally link back to WaveGrip products.

The Result

In the first 4 months our activity resulted in:

  • Engagement with over 200 brewers over 1000 times
  • Encouraging brewers to visit WaveGrip’s Twitter profile
  • Generating significant engagements
  • Encouraging access to the WaveGrip website directly through Twitter

The increase in WaveGrip’s brand awareness is clearly seen by the brewers who have engaged with or seen their Twitter content. We have also generated direct leads, with the lead development also evidenced through the number of brewers visiting WaveGrip’s website.

Social media is now an integrated part of WaveGrip’s wider marketing communications.
